Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park : Depart Kampala very early morning for Murchison Falls National Park, The trip takes you to the North part of Uganda and after 3hrs you will arrive in Masindi Town, stop by to refresh and stretch your legs, or take a cup of coffee after which you will proceed to Murchison falls National Park via the Kicumbanyobo Gate. Arrive at the Paraa Ferry crossing in time, cross and arrive at the Paraa Safari Lodge for lunch. After lunch at 2:00pm you will take a boat cruise on to the bottom of the Falls. Many animals will be seen along this boat cruise as they come down to refresh during the afternoon hot sun. Return to the lodge by evening, refresh and relax, meal plans dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge
Murchison Falls National Park:
Introduction: This is the biggest national park in Uganda with an area of 3840sqkm.The River Nile divides the park into North and South sectors and forms a Falls where it flows over the western rift valley escarpment. At the top of falls the river is forced through a seven meter gap in the rocks and cascades into a boiling pot 43 metres below.
The 3hrs a boat cruise to the bottom of the River Nile falls will stop you at the foot of a trail which leads you through dense forest to a natural viewing platform of boulders ( Optional activity). Along this 17 km Nile stretch you should view: elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, hippos, waterbucks, several antelope species, a lot of birdlife and the tooth some Nile crocodile.
Day 2: Wake up call at 5:30 A.M. prepare yourself to begin the early morning game drive which will begin at 6:30a.m. You will come across herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species if lucky also the unusual saddle bill stork. Later return for full Breakfast and prepare to leave Murchison Falls National Park and return to arrive in Kampala by early evening. End of Safari.
