I6 Days Uganda Safari Highlights; Bwindi National Park Gorillas, Mgahinga Golden Monkeys, Lake Bunyonyi, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions, Kibale Forest Chimpanzees National Park, Trekking the Rwenzori Mountains, Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo National Park, Rhinos in Ziwa Sanctuary.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda The Pearl of Africa!
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by Representatives from Uganda Wildlife Scene Safaris . Later transfer to your place of accommodation relax from Jet lag overnight at:  No.5 Boutique Hotel Entebbe or Humura Hotel Kampala.

Day 2: After breakfast, we depart Kampala and head Southwards of the country and head to Lake Bunyonyi.  We will stop at the Uganda Equator for pictures and the lunch en route. Arrive at your accommodation by early evening, refreshments will be served, dinner and overnight at Arcadia Lodge.

Day 3: Tracking the Mountain Gorillas: After an early breakfast you will head to the park headquarters and get the briefing from the chief park warden get into your groups and later its on to your adventure to meet these thrilling gentle giants of Bwindi National Park.

Tracking time varies according to the movements of these giants it could take from 30 mins to 5hrs so we highly recommend that you are in a good physical condition to track these gorillas. There are porters at the briefing point and if you need one to carry your equipment please do inform the warden and one will be readily available at a fee of $20 USD.

After tracking you will get back to the camp and relieve those special moments with the group after which you will get The Gorilla Tracking Certificates then proceed to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake Resort.

Day 4: Mgahinga National Park – Golden Monkeys:
After an early breakfast we will proceed to the briefing point after which you will begin the trek to the golden monkeys. When you arrive to them you will spend an hour in the company of these endangered species. An hour is counted immediately from the time visitors set their eyes on these species. On reaching the monkeys, visitors are reminded to breath in, take heart and utilize this hour to the fullest. Hold your camera, look for a better position and take as many photos. Return to your place of accommodation. Overnight at Mutanda Lake Resort.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Via  Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions:  After breakfast departure to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha, famous for the last African breed of the African tree climbing lions. Continue with the game drive in the park in search of these fascinating felines, forest elephants and several species of antelope are present. Exit Ishasha Sector and head to Northern Queen Elizabeth, arrive by early evening and check in to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge.

Day 6: Game Drives: After a warm wake up coffee at 6:15am at 6:30am start your early morning game drive to be in time to see the big cats in action. Game drive lasts for 3-4 hrs get back for breakfast relax and lunch.

At 2:45pm Take the boat cruise on the Famous Kazinga Channel which connects Lake George to Lake Edward.

The cruise on the water will last 2 hrs return by 5:00pm embark on the evening game drive which will bring you back to the hotel by 7:00pm. Refresh, meal plans dinner, campfire and overnight at Bush Lodge.

Day 7: Crater Lakes Tour of Kasenda Belt & Kibale Forest National Park:

 After Breakfast depart to Tour the Crater Lakes of Kasenda. This is Simply beautiful picturesque. Today you will be able to view about 9 crater lakes.  Stop for lunch at Nkuruba Crater Lake. After lunch you will return to your place of accommodation, refreshments, meal plans dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 8:  Chimp Tracking:  After morning Breakfast, head to the park headquarters arrive at 8:00am. Get the introduction from the park warden join the group and begin your adventure to meet our closest relatives the “Chimpanzees” Tracking will start and last for 3-4 hrs along the trails you will come across other primates like Black and white Colubus, Grey cheecked Mangabeys, Bird life and Plant life is abundant here.

After lunch proceed to the nature walk in the Bigodi wetland area which is also home to the Great blue turaco and also you may choose to do the Native Village walk. Later return to your place of accommodation, refreshments dinner and overnight at  Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 9: Rwenzori Trekking Experience:

 

Nyabuswa-karangura peak 3012m  The hike takes 8 hours from Nyabuswa and ends at mpanga River camp. Karangura Peak is 3,012m ABS with beautiful views at the summit.  The hike to the summit leads uphill through bakonzo homes, coffee & banana plantations and rainforest. The area is rich in primates such as the black and white Colobus monkeys or blue monkey. Getting to karangura gives you views of DRC and beautiful view of the Ruwenzori.

This Hike starts at 7:30 am at our offices in kazingo. Our cooks will make and provide you with packed lunch before the start of the hike. Our today’s overnight camp ground is near the source of River Mpanga where we shall spend the night in tents.

 

Day 10: Bwamba pass trail- Bundibugyo 5 hours:

Early wake up & breakfast at the camp will be at 7:30 am. Our cook will provide you with picnic lunch before you embark on the trek with our experienced Guide. The trek takes you through the bwamba pass to bundibugyo town. Before 1938 the pass was used by the bamba to link to fort portal for trade and other business. You will trek through this traditional bwamba pass to immerse yourself with the fascinating flora, Fauna and views. The trek leads you through the tropical rain forest and bamboo with superb rift valley views & the isolated bankozo and bamba homes.

The trek ends in Bundibugyo town where you get picked by your driver. The drive to fort portal is through the rift valleys that have nice views. Arrive at your place of accommodation, dinner and overnight at Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge.

Day 11: Murchison Falls Nationla Park:  After an early breakfast, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, the drive will take you through the magnificent views of the Blue mountains in Congo, and make a stop over at the top of the plateau to view the scenic blue stretch of Lake Albert. Proceed to Hoima and along the way make a stop over to stretch and have lunch. Proceed to arrive at your place of accommodation by early evening, check in dinner and overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

 

Day 12: Game Drives: After an early breakfast game drive begins at 6:30 am to be in time to see the big cats and other game in action. It is with in this park that the natural beauty of the Nile is perfected. You will come across herds of Elephants giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species also the unusual saddle bill storks. Be back in time for your lunch.

In the afternoon take a 3 hour launch cruise to the bottom of the falls you will come across pools of hippos, and lots of game coming down to the Nile for the afternoon refreshing. Later get back to Lodge, Dinner and overnight  at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

 Day 13:  Kidepo Valley National Park:  The park has some of the most amazing scenery in the country! For many people this is the most beautiful park of Uganda. Here you will find almost no tourists leaving you free to enjoy the park and its unique combination of wildlife without distraction. Arrive and check in and make lunch meal plans.

After lunch we go  for the afternoon/ evening game drive along the Nagosokopire circuit. Wildlife here is plentiful and you will come in contact large herds of resident buffalos, the elephants, Hertebeasts and other antelopes as they graze on the lush forage in the Narus valley. Appreciating beautiful sunset behind the long Nyangea ranges gives you perfect opportunity for taking pictures in the evening this will bring you back in the evening. Refresh, meal plans, dinner and overnight at the Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

Day 14: Game Drives: After Early  breakfast, proceed for a game drive on the Kakine circuit. This brings us close

to the plains of the Narus where you will see many Giraffes and Ostriches valley. The Scenic view is splendid with Mt. Lotukei in the far background in the Sudan. Drive back at leisure to the camp for breakfast and lunch. After lunch you will be taken to visit the Culture Experiences of the Karamajong people, where by you will be introduced to the ways and life styles of this culture, after which you will return back to your lodge refreshments will be served, dinner and overnight at the  Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

Day 15: Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary: After breakfast we will pack our bags and begin the drive via Kitgum and Gulu towns. We will choose a place and have our lunch enroute. Proceed to drive and arrive in Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary by early  afternoon and check in to your Accommodation. Refreshments will be served, dinner and overnight at Amuka Safari Lodge.

Day 16: Guided Rhino walk in Ziwa Rhinos Sancatuary:   After breakfast we will get the introduction and the briefing from the Chief Guides who will then take you on a short walk that will lead you to the white rhinos. Experience the thrill of standing by the side of the Rhinos in this impressive piece of wooded savannah. Later you will return to the main offices of this reserve and fill in your comments. We will then transfer you to Entebbe Airport Via the Big African Crafts display so you can buy some souvenirs to bring back home. Have Lunch at a selected place after which we will transfer you to Entebbe Airport to connect to your home bound flight. This marks the End of a Memorable Safari with Uganda Wildlife Scene Safaris.
