The Government of Uganda developed an electronic application processing system for visas, Entry Work Permits and Passes and it is now running. All persons intending to Travel, study or work in Uganda are encouraged to visit our E-visa Portal: and apply for relevant immigration facilities. All visas, Permits and passes are approved within 2 -3 working days. Therefore applicants are advised to apply at least five (5) working days before their intended date of travel.

How it works

Upon application, one receives a notification with an application Number which can be used to track the application. Upon approval of the application, the applicant receives an email notification detailing the steps to be taken with an attachment of the e-visa/e-permit approval/authorization to travel. The attachment should be printed and presented to Immigration Officers as proof that the e-visa/e-permit was approved. Payment for visas will be made at the point of entry.

NB: The fee for the SINGLE ENTRY VISAS has been reduced. Our visa fee for Single entry has changed from 95 Euros to 45 Euros

By the fact that Uganda is a high end Gorilla trekking adventure destination and safari holiday in Africa, we advise our dear guests to have a precautionary health measure against malaria and yellow fever. We recommend Malaria Prophylaxis, some Visitors do take Larium or Melarone. But others who don’t like to take this medicine may as well use strong Mosquito repellants.
